MountainView Meadery is one of the few dedicated meaderies in Australia. The honey wines(meads) produced by MountainView Meadery are made exclusively from Tasmanian honey. At present, only varietal honey wines (meads) are being produced. These are made from one type of honey, carefully selected to ensure the highest quality available at the time.
At the moment our meads are only available from a small number of selected outlets. See About page for details. Winner of the Best Wine of Show and Best Full Flavoured Wine and the ONLY GOLD medal at the Australian Fruit Wine Awards 2010.Our Prickly Box Mead 2008 (Bursaria Spinosa 2008). SOLD OUT May 2011..... the 2009 Bursaria Spinosa Mead requires further maturation. Limited quantities of 2007 vintage are still available.
